The Forgotten Planet Tarot
The Forgotten Planet Tarot is a 78 card deck, each card with a unique illustration. The Forgotten Planet is a magical realm with beautiful genderless aliens, worm creatures, magical fruits, and glowing crystals. It explores the theme of appreciating and walking the line between disturbing and beautiful: something that none of us can really put a finger on but has been there since the dawn of time. This is a theme that I tend to return to in my work often.
The inspiration for the deck started with the illustration above. The quick sketch seemed to open up a world I felt that I needed to explore.
I started with creating 4 cards in 2022 while in school, and finished the deck in 2023 and 2024. In October 2024 I launched a Kickstarter Campaign which helped me get enough money to make a starter batch of decks, and creating an interpretation booklet.
